Jerzy Kiercuk-Belinski
Sir John Soane

Sir John Soane is seen as one of the most innovative architects that this country produced. He is best known today for his masterpieces the Bank of England (now sadly vandalised) and Dulwich Picture Gallery, as well as his work on numerous country houses, such as Wimpole Hall itself. He was also one of the greatest collectors of his time, and Jerzy Kiercuk-Belinski will discuss how, within the walls of his other great masterpiece, his home at No. 13 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, he created an extraordinary ‘Grand Tour’ of the ancient and modern worlds through the ‘union of architecture, painting and sculpture.’
